About Us

This is a story about family. About nurturing and doing what’s best for our children. About bringing families closer together and making memories. It is also about community, the environment and making things better in general. At Eden’s Baby we believe all of this starts with you and me and the family.

My name is Becky Raetzsch, I’m also known as Mom, Aunt Becky and Nani. I’m the fortunate mother of a son and daughter, numerous nieces and nephews, a son-in-law, daughter-in-law and two very handsome and mischievous grandsons, a beautiful and sweet granddaughter and Sophia Alexis who is expected to join us in July.

I tell you all of this so you will understand how important family is to me and why I’m so excited about Eden’s Baby. When I had my children, in the mid-seventies, disposable diapers had just become widely available. They were looked upon as one of the best things since sliced bread and nursing, well that was just old fashioned. Of course we have learned since the harmful effects of disposable diapers to our children and the environment and know that nursing is the most beneficial method of feeding.

In starting Eden’s Baby my hope was to share this business with my daughter, Heather Brooke and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Brooke. I would have more time to spend with them and my grandchildren and they would have the opportunity to contribute to their family's income while at the same time staying home with their children. We also are committed to offering, as much as possible, products made by WAHM's to support their efforts as well. It was also a shared vision between myself and my two Brookes to enable other mothers the ability to find environmentally friendly products, support and information, all in one place, that would allow them the ability to make the very best choices for themselves and their children.

I’m Heather Brooke, the wife to a wonderful man, Wayne, who protects our country and family every day in the US Navy and the mom to a handsome little boy, Tristan. My adventures in parenting have been wonderful except for the frustration and hassle of finding the products my son and I needed. It began before I left the hospital. Tristan came early and I had not yet found a nursing bra in my size. I had not known that nursing bras had to be special ordered in larger sizes. So my first stop after leaving the hospital was to go to another hospital that carried larger sized bras. You can imagine the stress and crying that took place on this trip. Then there was the diaper rash that would not go away! It was then that I decided to try cloth diapers. Who would have known that these too would be impossible to find. And finally there were the toy recalls of ‘07 and the frantic searching through my son’s toys that planted the seed that began Eden’s Baby.

I’m Stephanie Brooke and being a mother of two children and an aunt of two nephews and four nieces, children products are a major part of my family's everyday life. Children are the worlds greatest gift and with that said, we have created Eden's Baby to be able to offer the community products that have been carefully selected and researched. Your minds will be at ease that your precious little ones will not be exposed to harmful materials when shopping at Eden's Baby .
